Did you buy/sell it at that price?

In any event - it's worth what someone is willing to pay for it, which will most likely be above that price.

If it sold for $5K, that was a great sale! I take it there was traffic or something, as the domain doesn't really have "meaning". Go Down, can mean several things, but it's not specific, like Bike.org or Company.org etc.

I wouldn't see this selling for $5K today, unless it has a great deal of traffic.

EDIT: I see the domain was just registered TODAY, so you must of picked it up?

Ive went back to try and check the source of the sale through NameBio.com. Without attempting to contact the previous owner, it appears that its valid. However there is no guarantee on data, as it was not sold first-hand.

Just because somebody paid it back in 2006, doesn't mean anybody will pay it again. If the sale was for real that is.....

you can check it

A godown is a warehouse, usually near the docks, in India and the Far East.

Jamie hit the nail on the head. Whoever purchased this domain name in 2006 mustve wanted it or needed it back then. Now 2 years later, perhaps the domain didnt mean as much. Quite honestly, im not sure why this sold for so much, especially back then.

Godaddy paid like $2.3 MILLION for 30 seconds and before you know it.. it was done. lol

If they used it for advertising.. they can consider the $5K a drop in the bucket. Then didn't want it any more and let it drop etc. Who knows... but it does seem a bit odd.

it was an adult site when sold
it STILL is an adult name and as such should be listed in adult section

yes , you are right

it was an adult site before

this is why now it has a lot traffic

Nice catch all the same...

The name without traffic etc. just to reseller market at present, you'd be lucky to get 1% of what it did 2 years ago. I'd say $50 max since it means some kind of warehouse as DavidH points out. Plus can be adult related "Go Down" but then the .org kills it.

HOWEVER if you can market it using the previous high $$ sale, archive results and traffic stats then I'm sure you'll get a very good sale. But just repeating "you can check it" or quoting estibot's valuation isn't exactly great marketing.

Anyway good luck. Hope you get a good sale.

I agree $100 sounds about right.
