Auction credits

Domain Pro members receive a $20 monthly auction credit they can apply toward any GoDaddy Auctions purchase.

Question:

What else could GoDaddy offer to make this membership even more useful to Pro investors?

Let them know.

I have a dedicated account Broker and he does not know what he is doing.
The previous one was good but I have the new one for 3 years and I never bother to talk to him.

I've been using GoDaddy for decades. Sometimes, I send them money every day of the month. Bob Parsons still calls me sugar daddy.

My #1 suggestion: a better web interface for managing large portfolios. Their current UI seems targeted towards folks who operate a business website, rather than domain investors.

A mobile app would also be nice.

Why is a NamePros Moderator shilling for GREEDdaddy?

Are they the secret owners of NamePros?

Some folks love to hate on GoDaddy, because they’re the biggest player in town. I don’t think they are that bad though.

@GoDaddy is making their Domain Club memberships more useful to investors by giving auction credits each month.

Let's offer them additional suggestions about how they can make it even more useful for us.

This thread is intended to help domainers.

We can provide feedback and see what happens.

I received no notification emails from Godaddy for automatic payments, resulting in significant financial losses, so I quickly transferred all my domains away.

Thank you for this thread -- I missed the November discount, and just saw the December promo from this thread.

Did they announce they will do this on a monthly basis? And is it a single-use per user/per month?

If you purchase from their Auctions anyway, then this would help cover the DDC monthly fee.

This is the first time I am hearing of an auction credit. I was never informed.

Me too -- I just used it on an auction I won today and it worked as advertised :)

I spent 5-10k+ each year at GoDaddy for many years but after Bob Parsons left it's slowly become worse or a downward spiral into a more greedy company. 25-30% sales commission if ya don't point your domains to Afternic? This is because they know most sales happen from the landing page and not from Afternic/GoDaddy incompetent search patterns. Domain Pro Membership @$359.88 to buy domains at a discount that's still higher priced than plenty of others DynaDot, NameBright, SpaceShip, Unstoppable, etc... where no club is needed?

If ya like GoDaddy do your thing but to me it's undebatable that ever since Bob Parsons left GoDaddy has slowly
deteriorated in quality and increased in greed. I spent at least 5-10k+ each year for many years and today I spend $0. Afternic/GoDaddy can continue to email me let us do a portfolio review etc... but once I'm done with a company I'm done so their actions/greed cut off the 💰 from me.

Before acquiring Afternic, GoDaddy commission was always 30% to access their registration flow. There was no discount for using their nameservers. That was during Bob’s reign. DDC was expensive back then too (and had fewer benefits).

The auction credits do help to offset the cost some; I wonder how long they’ll last.

You’ll see the Auction Credit mentioned across GoDaddy Auctions social channels and in some sponsored blog placements. DDC Pro members who are opted in to marketing emails should have also received a note about the December credit.

Each credit is single-use per customer, per month, and it doesn’t carry over if it isn’t used during that month. Longer term, the plan is to move away from promo codes and automatically load a credit into DDC Pro accounts each month. For now, we’re using codes as we work toward that.

For December, the code is DECPROWIN. For January, the planned code is JANPROWIN.

Other registrars have better prices without that funny discount club.
Do not forget to check "Favorite/Best Registrar 2025" they are doing so great :)
To be honest I am suprised they got even one vote.
I transferred all domains from them some years ago and it was the best decision.
Their customer service (copy/paste in a hurry without reading) is absolutly disgusting not to mention horrible prices.
