that's funny I just transferred some nice generics out of there to DM , could I be the reason ....? NO J/K I'm not. There finally getting it that we domainers don't have to OVERPAY to get subpar service and shitty or no tools.

I hope godaddy will reduce the price at least $9.99 for .TV

Go-daddy really has no choice. they have to offer lower prices becuase people are finding out they can register at enom and get a whole lot of hosting and templates. Although they are questionable quality.....

Oh and what the other guy said: We can get shitty service anywhere. Why not get some hosting with it?

GoDaddy introduced a couple of days ago a NEW registration cost for a .tv of $24.99. However, the RENEWAL price is still $39.99!

they test price sensitivity a lot.

Once upon a time they were $34.99 and $29.99 with coupon before they went to $39.99 and then started dropping again.

someone is running a quant model in the back to see what happens.

Any idea what the wholesale price of .tv is? I doubt very much if GoDaddy would made a loss leader out of them.

They have!, i just bought one at Godaddy and it was $19.99 :)

+ if you tick the box at the end and reg for 5 years you get an additional 10% off. and if you reg for 10 years you get 15%.

However, DO NOT apply the extra years until the very last page where it says " TICK BOX and upgrade to 5 year and get 10%" if you put in a 5 year reg prior to this page then the discount does not show and you pay full price of $19.99 per year.

10 year registration for $169 is not to shabby at all

That's a good option to register a .TV for 10 years if you will keep the name but for resellers, we want to flip this asap.

Yeah, but if you are flipping for more then that price, you can use the long registration period as a selling point. Maybe not a great one, but it is important to some. And if it is a great name, even better.

Absoloutely, i was having this conversation yesterday, if it is regged for a long time any potential bidder knows you are serious and are in no rush to sell+ you can always add the renewal fees into any price anyway .

I think you 100 % right SHOWBIZ it is a great selling point you build in $250 to $300 of value a potential buyer did not know you regged for $16.99

Can someone please confirm that the ten year deal is good if you are transferring a .tv from enom to godaddy? Im assuming it must be but would like a confirmation. Thankyou.

Really not sure on that one Mindwrecker, probably best to ask GD themselves, just to make clarify.
