Hi,

Today i check godaddy whois, http://who.godaddy.com/whoischeck.aspx?domain=DomainName.COM and it's redirected to auction page (i listed the domain name in godaddy auction platform).

Again i checked via who.godaddy.com and it also redirected to the auction page (which is same as above)

I checked my another domain which is not listed on godaddy auction is working fine.

Is it BUG (or) Godaddy Updates to improve their auction platform in this way?

Yeah, I talked about it here

https://www.namepros.com/threads/godaddy-hijacks-your-whois-lookup.873276/#post-4963030

but I see the thread is already buried.

It's definitely NOT a bug and simply is GoDaddy redirecting customers to their auctions without a care as to how inconvenient and annoying it is to those same customers. Other members suggested using another Whois, but I had very specific reasons why the GoDaddy whois was my preferred one, especially while browsing their auctions listings. GoDaddy seems to be doing a lot of things to piss off a significant fraction of their customer base. They don't seem too concerned about it.

I just tried it on an expired-auction domain, and was forwarded to a buy it page (auction).

I tried to look at the whois on another whois lookup site, and got a result. (godaddy redemption services)
