GoDaddy USED domains?

Didn't realize GoDaddy sells "used domains"

Are these from drops or? They charge $35 a year for some of these and I wonder how that works?? What if you move the domain to another registrar? Some expire in 2012 so how do they make money?

Im pretty sure that they must have some sort of restrictions, like basically limit what you can do with the domain name. But I guess that applies more to renting domain names, as for buying used domain names I'm not to sure about it really.

Some are from chargebacks, fraudulant buys etc.. GoDaddy has always had them.

Just the fee used to recoup funds for chargebacks and other expenses I guess, and try to make a profit like any business.

Godaddy has had their used domain store for 2+ years already

I found out about this the hard way. After buying a godaddy-regged domain off a fellow domainer, godaddy received a fraudulent credit card notice. So they refunded the registration fees and took back my domain, and I had to pony up $35 to get it back into my account.
