Well althrough Enom has knocked its prices back up to around the $6.95 level for .US registrations.

Godaddy is still have a 4th of July $4.95 Domain Sale. I was able to register 3 Domains at this awesome rate, and would have regg'd another 8 or so, had I not been possessed to refill my enom account.
