One thing that bugs me about GoDaddy with respect to other registrars such as name.com, is that when I update things for my domain name GoDaddy is very slow to respond. Encirca responds faster and name.com particularly so.

It's been about 7 hours since I've changed my DNS to sedoparking from parked (.com & .org), and while the whois has changed to reflect the new DNS, the names are still parked on parked.
Yep, when I do NS changes at GD I don't even bother to check until the next day to be sure the changes have occurred. It sucks but I am used to it now. Snapnames before it became moniker provided the only real time NS changes I can remember finding.
I feel the same.
I have used both godaddy and name for a while now, godaddy loads really slow and they update DNS very late compared to name (they do it just really fast)
Name is good at browsing too.
One more thing about godaddy is it's registration process is hard and full of ads and offers.
Theory is true, yes, but it isn't practised. Using godaddy I get instant DNS updates. It's most likely your ISP being crappy and slow, I can submit a DNS change now and have it running in 30 seconds.

yes godaddy has been slower lately to update dns. moniker is instant
what you are finding is your pages are cached if you visited the parked pages prior and may stay cached for a day
