GoDaddy now owns an ended TDNAM auction name?

I wanted to see who had won an auction that ended like I think over $200 on tdnam about a month ago and the whois shows Godaddy owns it. Why would that be?

Maybe it wasn't paid for?

Normally, it is offered to the next highest bidder. But it could be that GoDaddy renewed the domain and offered it to the next highest bidder, who didn't respond in the time allowed. We'd need to know the domain if you need something better than 100% speculation.
