GoDaddy Issue

Hello All,

I checked out a couple domains on Go Daddy that had nice traffic that was to drop yesterday and they both showed that they were available. It let me pay and everything and when I got to the order confirmation page I signed into my account to make sure they were in my account and they weren't. I thought it seemed odd they hadn't shown up yet as it only takes a minute or two for new regs to show up.

So about an hour later I received 2 emails saying the domains couldn't be registered and they'd retry in 24 hours and if they aren't successful at that time then I'd receive a refund. Has this happened to anyone else before??

I thought I hit the lotto as both domains have nice traffic. :blink:

It can happen, if someone else was trying to register the names at the same time, or if GD messed up in checking availability (so the domains were actually unavailable at the time).

Had a very similar incident happen a few months back. I'm assuming there is bit of a bug when domains via GD are in the very last day of Pending Delete at times. I've actually had this happen through them (GD) about 4 times in total...showing the names available...after percievably regestering them I too got the big "sorry, but your S**T out of luck notice" a few hours later. My CC was refunded, but I would rather have not gone through the hassle to begin with....
