i wouldnt bother, but if you do really want to give it a go a better way of doing it is joining bluerazor.com, for a one off fee of $9.99 you get the service free

also they have cheaper backorder prices, $13 compared to $18

ive got a load of spare backorder credits if you want them even cheaper than that

No. All domains from GoDaddy companies (Godaddy, WildWestDomains, and BlueRazor) end up at TDNAM when they expire. Backordering it will only create the first bid at TDNAM, if you do that, your essentially "highlighting" the domain for lots of people (including me!).

whats the point of backordering then????

backorder is to snatch the domain once it drops.

my advice is use godaddy backorder, if the domain was previously registered from other registrar like enom, dynadot and so on.

There is no point to backordering a GoDaddy/WWD/BlueRazor domain. As Justin said. It goes to TDNAM for auction (about 12-17 days after expiry).

I personally wouldn't advise anybody to backorder a non-GoDaddy domain at GoDaddy. They are not very good at capturing desirable names. Use SnapNames. They are good however at capturing domains that are picked up by domain tasters and subsequently dropped.
