They caught a .net for me a few weeks ago and several com's in the past six months or so. I'm not sure if anyone else was after the .net but there are atleast 80 different businesses that use this term as their company name in the yellowpages alone. All extensions taken and developed aswell including .cc .ws etc. so it had to be on someones radar. It's a numbers game like anything. The one who queries the registry in that millisecond wins.

the dude got lucky. It happens one in a million at godaddy. I think he/she is not even aware he won the domain name lol.

don't use backorders to catch domains,
i was reading that backorders run once per 3 hours. so most of the time you will just catch what no one wants.

I wonder how good GoDaddy REALLY is. I've considered them but eh... RegisterFly's service isn't worth a damn penny. I just kind of gotten the assumption GoDaddy isn't much better.

what a deal. I've never bothered to backorder a name, I thought snapnames picked up all the good ones? Was this just a freak catch?
