Depends where you want it to go? If it was just registered, won at TDNAM or you changed your admin email addy, then there is a 61 registrar HOLD. I have had domains in this very same status, and NetSol has gotten them moved for me! lol
Looking to move it to Moniker. I'm just not sure whether the last update means the data being updated by the whois website or does it actually refer to me actually changing my info cos I don't remember doing so.
GD and WWD does have the stupid hold on the smallest whois change. They said they are thinking about changing the policy but I haven't seen any change yet.
It depends what was updated. If it was only a nameserver change you may be able to move it sooner. It's only ANY detail in the Registrant whois info changes (even the addition or deletion of a comma or fullstop) which activates the lock. So if there has been a change to the Registrant Contact Info, the answer is...Yep.
ICANN is looking into this practice. The thinking being if a major player like GoDaddy is able to stop the transfer for 60 days whats to stop a less honourable player imposing a 90 day or a 180 day transfer lock also in the name of security.
