The 1st thing you need to do before cancelling a name is to send support an email saying that you want to get a refund. Then they will reply telling you to cancel the name & reply back to them. Once that's done, they'll issue a refund.
htmlindex well last time i just cancelled and then later sent them a message to get a refund and it worked so I think doing the same thing will work. I just wanted to know if I have to send them a message.
soggyindo I am in Australia so I wont be phoning them.

I always call them but if you cant do that then I would contact them another way before cancelling.I once asked the rep if it was required to contact them before you cancel in order to get a refund and the answer was yes.GL
Didnt email them first but it seems like its OK. I didnt give the 4 digit account identification thing so I had to email that to them and I should still get my refund.
I canceled a domain I accidentally registered once and just sent email & they replied back on how to proceed and get a refund which I did a few days later. Yes it would be good if you could just do this without email as well. Maybe you can ask them if you can do this in the future and let us know.
