I've registered numerous domains with GKG over the last 7 years or so. Their rates have always been better than average (though certainly not the cheapest available).
GKG's customer service is top-notch. They assign you a customer service rep that you can call directly. I am willing to pay a bit more per domain for the security of knowing that a Real Human is there to help me if needed. I've called and asked my rep to expedite certain transactions in the past -- very useful, and something I've never seen at the other registrars I've used.
Their web site is a bit cluttered but is easy enough to use -- I only use their registration service, and they advertise many other services (parking, hosting, design, etc.).
