Greetings.

Noob here, been lurking awhile. Since my code knowledge is limited, many of the sites posted for review make my head spin. Ive enjoyed surfing this site and finally decided to post something for review (or flame)

The following site is in a terminal state of flux and is meant to be a portfolio of sorts.

Criticism greatly appreciated.

Happy Hollondaise to all!

Love it! Highly creative, although it could use a bit more animation. Think along the lines of http://www.cavemanscrib.com/Two.html (let the flash intro finish).
I think you're off to a great start, leaving the lines of conventionalism behind you.
Photoshop designed, roll over images and then linked from there?

Very nice work!

Thanks Mike. I haven't seen Caveman's Crib before. This is unbelievable stuff.

I agree with you about the need for animation. Some Flash navigation/zooms, etc, could benefit my overall vision greatly, and I appreciate that observation.

I've always used photoshop for graphics, but recently I was reading about Fireworks on the Smashing Magazine blog. It can handle vectors/bitmaps simultaneously, slicing, links, rollovers, some animation & behaviors. It's lightweight compared to PShop, but does do some (IMO) more important things, and exports all HTML (for publishing, or cleanup!)

As an experiment, this site was done entirely in Fireworks.

Thanks for the kind review. Being more of an artist and less of a coder, I expected more flames.

Very nice reference! Wonder what it takes to get all that done? The interactivity is great - i suppose we call that Web 2.5 ;)

I like the design very much. Altough the links are not so obvious as well as the purpose of the site. What is the board's function. How about making the board appear a bit lighter.

Regardless, its a very nice site

wow nice site you are very creative. The only thing I would say is that you have to scroll quite a lot to reach the content other than that it is great!

There is not really a purpose to the site other than to showcase a graphic design portfolio to potential clients.

The content on the bottom of the board is not priority information at all, it's just kind of there. I guess it is a bit out of place now that you mention it.

You guys have definitely shown me some things I need to improve. That's what I was hoping for.

'Preciate it!
