How do you find out if Google visited your site yet??

And, how do I find out where my site ranks when certain keywords are used??

Thanks!

I know if you have a forum, google logs in as 'Googlebot' when it's visiting your site, but thats all I can help you with really..

if you have awstats it says oon there which bots have been on your site

you can also find out if youve been indexed by search engines by typing in something that you know your site would rank highly for
for instance i have a site ukhardhouse.info i know if i type that in or that term without .info at the end that i will show up and thats how i know ive been atleast found by a certains earch engine

Go to Awstats and go to the bottom, tells you all the bots that visit your site and the date they last visited.

If you want to find your PR (PageRank), then, you can either:

1. Go to www.pagerank.net, put your URL in and it'll tell you.
2. Download the Google Toolbar and go on your site and there's a little bar on the toolbar that fills up depending on your PR. If you hover over it, it'll also tell you in numerics.

Hope that helps!

What's Awstats??

Thanks!

EDIT: I've submitted ChargeCards.cc to Google each month for the last two months and it appears as if Google hasn't even seen/indexed it yet. I did the "search engine saturation" thangie on ParkRank.net and it says Google has no pages indexed. What might I be doing wrong??

AWStats is a free powerful and featureful tool that generates advanced web, streaming, ftp or mail server statistics, graphically. This log analyzer works as a CGI or from command line and shows you all possible information your log contains, in few graphical web pages. It uses a partial information file to be able to process large log files, often and quickly. It can analyze log files from all major server tools like Apache log files (NCSA combined/XLF/ELF log format or common/CLF log format), WebStar, IIS (W3C log format) and a lot of other web, proxy, wap, streaming servers, mail servers and some ftp servers.

When you login to cPanel you click on the link that says "Web/FTP Statistics" and you should see Awstats in there :)

Unfortunately, most of my hosting services do not come with cpanel. I took a look at the awstats site, and it seems like it may take a little bit of time and troubleshooting to get it installed and working properly.

Exactly! I downloaded the software and it couldn't figure out how the heck to load it onto my computer... let alone my site! :(

I highly recommend it and appreciate Awstats being mentioned to me! :tu:
