I posted a link on gumtree 2 days ago, my site was listed on google yesterday. I checked today and it's gone together with the gumtree listing.

Do you think it was delisted because of gumtree link was gone?

are you sure that page is deindexed? try typing in the page's url into google and see if anything comes up. also, you should verify your site in google's webmaster tools and submit a sitemap so they know what pages exist in your site, etc.

They are ban sites, and same thing happened again with another one where I linked it with ebay. I found out that when the link doesn't show up on google, the site's index will also disappear.

Just want to know is it a temperory thing e.g. later it will be index or it will never be indexed?

I would suggest you to develop on your content ( If you don't have enough ) and submit a sitemap to google and try getting few quality back links. Would work as a charm...

I agree with this wholeheartedly. Content is king. Backlinks from blog comments and article repositories will help also.

A backlink cannot harm a site: it can only help if its a good backlink. In case its not, then the worst that will happen is that it will be ignored.

You cannot control who link to your site, but you can control to whom you link to in your site.

Try to get some solid backlinks and your site will get indexed in no time.

Also, how old is your site?

If its a new site, then it will index and de-index very often.

Try rechecking Google if your site has been indexed yet. No one really knows when Google indexes sites and more often than not, they have different algorithms.

A backline from a bad low quality site will not harm the site in pretty much any way.

Maybe you should wait and see if it's a permanent or temporary problem, and at the same time build more backlinks to it.

a simple check: have you installed google's sitemap thru your google webmasters account?

A backlink can not hurt a site, it will rather not help! To faster indexing process you can get link from an authority site

Hi,

No, because google bot find a link to index your site in starting. And after indexing you should worry about PR and traffics only because your site does not have any illigal content then google bot will check for backlinks and update to your site only.

Thanks :)

Need more links

I would say no. What you need to do is build more links and of course content. Google likes it when you have good content and more than 1 link to your site.

You must be very careful while doing linkbuilding. If you choose a site that is already banned from google, same will happen to your site and you'll have to trash your domain.
