I submitted for 100 backlinks and it's about a month later and it seems that none of the backlinks are active anymore.

I started with around 50, ordered service - went to 102 links coming in to now being back around 52.

Is this normal?

Did it actually go to 102? Or you just guessing it should have gone to that? Because it might just be the directory hasn't approved them?... If you got them then lost them... that's weird, because that would mean the directory is no longer in existence?... and consider you got 100... I doubt 100 directories closed down...
