Baffled

A bit baffled here. These are are premium generic names and still no buyers. I saw somewhere here that why.co.in sold for 200$. I am wondering why not mine? Is it because i have no trader rating, Untouchable seller?

Why.co.in sold for $850 on sedo... it was most likely an end-user sale and it is also a 3 letter dictionary word. I was in the bidding for that name and as a reseller wouldn't have paid more than $120-130.

The reason no one is buying or offering anything for your domains is because your asking prices are way above current reseller market values. Maybe to potential end-users you can ask for more - but on here (mostly reseller market) you'll get reseller prices...

IBN is a very good name (related to books/product codes) and I personally wouldn't sell it for less than $200 - but whether someone HERE is willing to buy it for that much or more is another question. The same can be said for IIS... current reseller values for those are likely in the $140-$180... with better financial climates you could expect closer to $200.

The other names are good too, but I haven't seen any major reseller sales for .co.in domains. Most of the .co.ins that I've seen sold either have traffic/revenue or are developed sites. Just as domains you'll find people are reluctant to buy them (at those prices) even though they are premium.

Those the likely reasons for no-one bidding on your names. I don't think it has much to do with your trader rating - although personally I ask sellers to push names first if they don't have high rating... and I'm sure if someone really wanted to buy something they'd do the same in this case.

Good luck with these, im sure if the right person sees them you'll get a sale.

:)

I was under the impression that no one will even bother here to respond to my rant. Thanks Onetime. Your post was very infromative and helpful.

I had made you an offer Mika but didn't receive a reply.

If it was too low or not worthy of even a counter that is ok but my offer was $200 for two names so if you were serious about selling you could respond and let me know why you can't accept or counter and we may have been able to work something out.

(Only mentioning because of your comment about why you couldn't sell)

Dear Troy,

I "was" serious about selling. And thats why i discounted the prices and posted it here for all to see, and bid or post "sold" or whatever. ( Plus replied to you with stats)
When i have already mentioned the prices for the domain names here( what i want for the names! ), and you PM me and tell me that you can offer $200 or two names, is it necessary for me to respond. ? Is it a compulsion?

(Only mentioning because of your desire to know the stats and revenue and then you quoting what you quoted. )

This is what i sent to Troy:

IBN.IN
10 Months
1,700 Views collectively
170 Views per month on the average
168 Clicks collectively
17 Clicks per month on the average
9.88% Click through rate on the average
โ‚ฌ0.04 Revenue per click on the average
โ‚ฌ0.67 Revenue per month on the average
โ‚ฌ6.72 Revenue collectively

IBN.CO.IN
10 Months
10 Months: 1,661 Views collectively
166 Views per month on the average
138 Clicks collectively
14 Clicks per month on the average
8.31% Click through rate on the average
โ‚ฌ0.03 Revenue per click on the average
โ‚ฌ0.47 Revenue per month on the average
โ‚ฌ4.71 Revenue collectively

This seller keep changing his bin price. Yesterday I saw $200 bin for each LLL.in but he changed back to $250, oh well :) .. kind of confusing

No worries

You are not compelled to respond, counter or otherwise acknowledge my offer.

I offered 10+ yrs revenue for the names so I don't think my offer was insulting.

Good luck selling - there are lots of other people selling so offer withdrawn.

When I get an offer that I think is too low, I usually respond with a simple "No, thanks". Sometimes, the interested party may then send additional questions or a new offer. Though I typically respond again, I do not always -- particularly if the followup is unlikely to yield much result.

Good luck with your sale. Your two LLL.in are nice.

No, i did not increase.
Yes i kept on changing the bin ( reducing it, not increasing the price.)

But when you pmed me i really suffered from hallucinations.

This gentleman first pmed me with an offer of 150 $, I responded with a $ 300 counter offer. He counter offered 200. I replied back stating " Not less then 300. Tommorrow i am going to slash the prices of the domains listed. I will give it a thought later."
His wait and watch game ended when i further decreased the price of iis.in from 300 to 250. He takes up the golden opportunity to pm me again with his own price slash, $150 again. From a $200 offer, back to his original $150 offer. Plus he mentions his offer is good for 12 hours.

I replied back " From $200 to $150 ?. I am not desperate. I do not want your offer. Even if the offer was good for 12 days, I don't accept."

Thank you !

Sorry to budge in your sale thread.
You need to soften your stand if you want to make big sales here.
People are always and will always be looking for a bargain.
If you feel someone is being unreasonable to you, just a "No thank you" and move on.
Its a small community and you never know which of your $200 buyers may suddenly be one of your biggest buyers.
To give you a small example a gentleman on this forum once offered me $500 for my most premium names in .in and .co.in.
I kept on engaging him and never got irritated with him. Ultimately he bought all my names at 8-10K a piece, yes you heard that right
Take you time and you will have your sales.
Hope that helped.
