Hey all,

I registered this domain in late 2010 before California was to vote on legalizing recreational pot. That vote failed, but since then recreational weed has been legalized in Colorado and Washington State.

I have seen increased interest in this domain from that time on. I haven't marketed it at all, I only put it on Sedo a week ago under 'make offer.'

No one has offered me a dollar amount, they all want to know my starting price, and I don't know what to tell them.

What you think this domain is worth may be based on the rapidly changing political and legal environment regarding marijuana.

I'm sure it will be worth more if I hang onto it for longer, when the feds publicly admit that their backing off. I could even develop it into a functioning and profitable ecommerce site.

But I really don't have the time, and domaining isn't my thing.

So I would really appreciate some opinions on this. What could it potentially be worth? Should I hold onto it for longer?

Update: Colorado is projecting $184,000,000 in new tax revenue this year. 58% of residents now support legal weed, this is up from the number which passed the ballot initiative.

There is a 6.3% increase in flights going to Colorado, and 8 states are looking at Colorado to consider adopting the same plan for legal Marijuana.

So legal weed is here! It will continue to grow. Most of it will be grown indoors (as stated by Colorado law) They will need lights, systems, and a constant supply of nutrients. As well as anything else that can be marketed to them.

And what is the best .com domain to brand a website for this legal marijuana boom? I believe it is ganjaponics (dot) com

I would love to hear some thoughts on this...

Well I like it, and it would make a great brand for someone.

However, just like domains for the porn industry, there are so many permutations of marijuana keywords to choose from, I doubt you'd get much for it. Low $xxx

Thank you so much for responding to this thread! I've already been offered $x,xxx for this domain. This isn't about keywords, it's about reaching out to marijuana users.

You can buy grow lights on Amazon, and they will send you local links. I would send them marijuana links. News..etc!

Whoever has the stones to do this will build a very profitable business.....
