How much would you estimate it's worth? and what do you think it will go for on Bido?

Seem's to be the 3rd most popular sport/recreational searched phrase right under "football" and "golf" in terms of the amount of exact searches it get's on google (1,000,000 exact USA / 2,740,000 exact Global). It get's more exact searches than "Health", "Fitness", "Hunting", "Baseball", "Basketball", and all the other sport/health/recreational niches. Pretty amazing considering I've never heard much about "paintball" myself.

I'll appraise it myself. ;)

Paintball is the 3rd most popular searched for phrase in the sports/health/fitness categories, right under Football and Golf. It gets around 1,000,000 exact searches in the USA, and 2,740,000 exact searches globally on Google.

Similar domain sales: Paintball.com sold for 100k back in 2003 but on DNF in a post someone said the owner recieved an offer of one million which was declined. Paintball.net sold for $45,100 on ebay back in April' of 2003 as also mentioned in the same post (http://www.DNF/f4/paintball-net-thread-26634.html). Paintball.com.es sold for $750 in 2008. PaintballGun.com and PaintballGuns.com have sold in the 5 digit range as reported on DomainNameWire (http://domainnamewire.com/2009/03/27/paintballgunscom-auction-attracts-attention-at-ebay/). Other two word paintball domains have been reportedly sold from $260 up to $3,000.

Paintball.cc is worth $xxx.

I own gal.cc if you are interested by the way, as for paintball.cc I'd have to research it properly but my gut tells me it's probably worth similar to the figures you put up as far as an end user is concerned that wants an easy name for clients to remember, it won't really help search engine wise though since .cc won't rank well, except for people in the islands they represent. So I'm thinking for you someone might pay mid $XXX, citing your paintball.com.es as an example of this since that TLD is closer to yours in the TLD ladder.

You can hold onto it and hope for a big sale down the road later. It' what I'm hoping for with gal.

Below was a sales comparable I found, I only have '1' for my domain, where you have '3' so you got better odds of a sale with paintball I think then gal but none the less I wanted to at least have one 3 letter .cc to hold onto for fun

Gal mobi $910 Dec 07 Sedo Auction 1 3 N N Gal.mobi - Gal Resources and Information. This website is for sale! Sedo

In return for my appraisal maybe u can give me your opinion on mine. I have a feeling my own gal.cc is worth low $XXX, but not entirely sure because cc names are very hard to predict the final sale amount.

Nice keyword. Low to mid $xxx is probably a fair appraisal.

Undoubtedly it’s a premium keyword and I hope it will fetch good bucks. However, I am a bit sceptical about the extension and therefore I would not hold it for long. Yes, in the current market it should be worth mid-high $xxx.

Thanks for the appraisals. I listed the domain at Bido: Domain name auction for paintball.cc on Bido.com - Social Auction Platform.
Check it out if you're interested. It's a no reserve auction.

As for .gal, it's the abbreviation for gallon, galileo, galaticans, and the galician language which is spoken in Galacia. Also noticed .GAL is a proposed top level domain. So definitely might be worth holding on too. Hard to say what it's worth. Low $$$ currently I'm guessing to an end user.

Also regarding the .cc extension... From what I've read google see's .cc as a global extension, and not a country code extension so it should rank well along with seo optimization and good content.

For example: CdCovers.cc is #1 on all the major search engines for the keyword "cd covers". Bible.cc ranks on Page 1 (8th link down) for the keyword "bible" on Bing.com, Page 2 on Google.com, and Page 3 on Yahoo.com. Also ranks for the keyword "bibles" on Page 2 for Google and Bing.

So it is possible to get ranked well on all the search engines with a .cc domain name, even with a lot of competition.

That is true concerning .cc, but I think if you had a .com of same page rank and optimization the .com will be more likely to win over the .cc, but the fact the keyword is in the domain helps a lot in general. It all depends on who you are competing with. If you are competing with other pages in particular countries they may win over. That is why I'm only really holding onto one good .cc right now to see how it goes. Just wanted to add my two bits there from experience trying to get those domains up.

A .cc extension can still rank well in the SERP. All it takes is the right optimization. And considering .cc is easier and faster to type than a .com, type in traffic might also be good... I like .cc extension. I now own one..

Yeah that is what I was saying, but take the same keyword with same optimization and only difference was TLD, I know for sure that .com will win out. Of course we could do an experiment =) if you want, lets find some keyword and try to optimize for it in .com versus .cc and make sure we do everything the same (for example title tags same, same amount of text etc, no links linking to it or what not). We could pick some obscure keyword, would be an interesting experiment to do if someone wants to do it with me.

hahaha.. that's an interesting idea. I used to be active in SEO but due to my busy schedules I am not so much into SEO now. . . but ill think about that.. and perhaps will do my own experiment too...:hehe:
