GAH! Step moms

I swear I hate my step mother.

as posted in the other thread, I am having that operation and will be unable to do anything for 2 weeks. This includes watching after Emily (my 15 month old daughter).

So, her suggestion because she doesnt want to help: "...well you could lay on the floor, hold her down next to you and change her diapers. It's just too much work for me and I dont have the time."

I think she just pushed beyond her last straw.

True, hate is a powerful word. I say it with much enthuesiasm too.

She has just tormented my life for 20 years with crap like this. Im done with it and refuse to subject my daughter to this type of person as well.

Too many good things going on in life to concern myself with a wench like her.

Coming from the flipside of the coin, it can be challenging being a step-parent: no matter how much time and effort you put in, one cannot (usually) measure up to the parent they are 'substituting'. Especially when there is lack of support & appreciation from the spouse.

Been there, done that - now older and wiser.

My wife called her mother in france whom I've never met. Told her what my step mom did. My mother in law got very mad and decided to fly here from France to help us for a month while I recover .

What an awesome slap in the face to my step mom! She cant be bothered to watch my baby for 6 hours a day for a week because it's too inconvienient, but my mother in law, whom Ive never met will spend 1300 Euros and a month of her time.

God, I am loving this. Can;t wait to smear this all over my step moms face! :kickass:

That's great to hear that your mom-in-law is coming over for a month to help out! I have a question though, how'd you get to marry a girl without meeting her parents first?

Actually I had met her father and brother before we married. But her parents are divorced.. so I havent had the chance to meet her mom, unfortunately. sucks too, cause on the phone.. I like her mom the best. very sweet lady
