I'm selling this new site that I created. It is completely automated, so there is absolutely no upkeep required. The site pulls auctions from ebay, but doesn't use any of the popular ebay scripts that are out there. It expands on the idea of using an RSS feed, but also includes a lot of my own scripting to maintain a clean database. The system automatically deletes auctions that are ended, and all links that go off the site open to a new window.

The site updates every 5 minutes, in order to keep the content fresh.

I just finished updating the script with the following items:

-The script now updates the posts with the current bids, so it will always be up to date
-When clicking on the category, the "Auctions Ending Soon" list is contained to that category

Is anyone interested in this for more than $20? It's a totally hands-free, about 75% custom site, built on wordpress.

I had 2 sites like this that I just built at the same time (about 2 days ago), and already earned $1.40 off of one of them. Unfortunately, I didn't have any tracking set up yet, so I can't tell you if it was from this site or my other one. Wii's are still very popular, so I feel this site should earn a lot from ebay commissions, especially around Christmas time.

I don't think it's a script. It looks like a wordpress site, with template and then cron jobs set up to do the updates.

It is a wordpress site, with the SmartRSS plugin used to get the RSS feeds and put them into the database.

That's all, from the standard side of things.

I modified the plugin to speed up processing so it could work a larger amount of feeds, without timing out. I then wrote some PHP code to track the auctions that are posted, list the next auctions, and remove expired auctions. This allows you to accurately show how many auctions are currently being shown in the site, as a whole, or by category. I also have a cron job set up at a website, that I will give to you with instructions on how to configure it. It's simple, and runs to update the database every 5 minutes.

I'm going to create a package, explaining how to do this, as well as offering all the PHP code that I modified, and created to make the sites behave as they do. I will also provide code to place into the theme that you're using, allowing you to show other things, such as the auctions ending soon, etc... It will also have the url's to set up cron jobs online and instructions on how to set up the cron jobs on your own server. Finally, I will show how to get the RSS feeds at ebay and enter them into your site. Send me a PM if you're interested, and I will offer more details. This will probably be available in the next couple weeks.

Right now, with the site for sale, it's pretty well modified. So, yes, it's a simple wordpress site, but every part of it is automated. All you have to do is sit back, promote it, and enjoy the commission.

Oh, and to change/add products...
All you have to do is log into the admin and change the categories and RSS feeds. You could either delete the current posts (through the database directly or in the admin), or just wait for a couple days while the new feeds start populating and the old ones stop. You can also do any normal wordpress tasks with it, and even add more plugins if you want. You can easily set up the Google Analyticator plugin, Adsense plugins, or whatever you want. I set the sidebar code to be outside of the widgets, so it will show in the same place no matter what you do to it.

Finally, you should also know that clicking on any link from the posts will open in a new window, keeping the visitor at your site while they look at the item.
