Hi folks,

What do you guys think about Freeclips.tv

Overture: 132K and google results: 2440K, no TM issues, .com does not resolve and .net goes to an adult site.

In fact I had to stop development on one .tv name for one week to get this name. But this is my last one until I finish developing my other names.

Development ideas: I can put clips of any nature for free on this site. Music, videos, movies etc. It can also have different langauge clips too for free. Funny, suspense, comedy, action clips and then have paid membership to see complete movie or video.

Any thoughts on different development ideas?

I like the name game clip and clips .tv are premium names $500 and $1000 respectively. A big thing going forward is for people going ot be able to down load clips or even epsiodes and people want to charge like $1.99 per clip. you could have a site that has freely downloadable clips or links to free clips if you cannot store and host yourself.

You are right clip and clips.tv are premium names and I can not afford them. I would rather use that money to promote freeclips.tv

Thats my idea. To give small clips to view and check out before buying paid membership or something like that.

For decades, adult businesses run on that model, but I am against anything adult.

Also, once you get into search engines with nice design and content and then into users favorites, that has far more benefits than just having single word in the name. :imho:

i own freeclip.tv. dont have any idea why i didnt get the plural. i had the same ideas as you did..

I just went with the sound of it.

For example, take miniclip and miniclips, miniclip will be the winner because it sounds better and easy, why, there is already one syllable before you touch clip.

But in the case of freeclip and freeclips, freeclips sounds better because, you do not have any syllables before clip and 's' will help free flow, freeclips. Thats as always :imho:

my post wasnt meant to sound competitive in anyway. i have been considering taking clip.tv and clips.tv from verisign, but i have more than enough to develop right now.. i will keep you posted if i get some traffic if you develop, perhaps i can forward it or sell if it becomes worthwhile to you.

I do not mean to sound competitive either. I see you have big .tv portfolio. I am not going to work on my name right away. I have other names to work on first.
