I am looking for a website where I can type in a word/phrase and get the exact translation that is correct for domain registrations. Do you know of any?

I came accross:

www.google.com/language_tools

http://babelfish.altavista.com

Are those giving very accurate translations?
Don't use them! The only definate traslation will be from a human, you can pay for these servces just do a google search.

you could use it but you have to translate one word at a time, and then you piece them together. The software does not do sentence very well.

No, you can't get "very accurate translations" using these. Ask some native speakers somewhere.

There are twelve different ways of translating the word 'make' from English to Dutch, how would the software know which you wanted if you're translating one word at a time?
There is no substitute for a proficient human. (Yet.)

If you can't afford a translator (and you're only after the words for domains- i.e. one or two word translations, rather than phrases/sentences) then at least buy a dictionary, I'm sure £10/€10/$10 will get you the one you need, and you'll do a lot better this way than with the software.
