Free push?

Are there any registrars that can request a push for free?

I have just bought a domain name and the seller has told me that if i want it in my registerfly account, i will have to request a push which will cost me $7 extra dollars.

Any ideas to help my cause?

You can "push" within the same Registrar - RegisterFly offers this service for free - but to go from one Registrar to another will cost the one-year renewal fee at the receiving Registrar, and that's why it's called a "pull" (versus a "push").

the expiry date doesnt get extended?

no, its not possible to have a push to other registrars.

Push can be done for free only between 2 persons selling and buying domains under the same registrar.

Huh? :cy:
If you "pull" it over to YOUR Registrar, an additional year will be added to the existing registration term.

Yes, it does get extended for one year.

It's all easy stuff, but the Seller should disclose to you this one-year renewal fee for the "pull" to another Registrar -or- offer you a free "push" within the existing Registrar.

Okie Dokie ... "pull" it over to your own super cool RegisterFly account and pay the nominal one-year renewal (and thus extending the registration by one year in the process, as well) and you'll be good to go, IMHO.

so its at dotcomregistrar.com and you want it to be at registerfly? then it costs money, you have to initiate the transfer from register fly and pay the $7, or however much it is, then.

yeah its $6.99, its in the process at the moment so hopefully it will go through soon.

"Auto verification of transfer request initiated", im glad it says that, earlier it was saying that it couldn't retrieve whois info.

This is good , you just need to approve the transfer request they send you and the name should move over soon
