I have never used one of these services because I have always been paranoid about disclosing that information...

You guys are all saying this is safe??

I do have problems connecting many times so I really could use something like this as long as it is safe.....

Thanks

I don't understand why people need an FTP program to connect to their server.
I just connect with my browser and I can upload/download files....

"ftp://nameofsite.com"
then log in
Am I missing something?

Yeah, same view from me. I used that site many times, but later decided to use SmartFTP as well. WebFTP sometimes disconnected and navigation isn't that simple. Have to find a new FTP program soon, SmartFTP also cuts out sometimes when uploading a large amount of files.

@texasgamer - My firewall blocks accessing through the browser, and there are a lot of functions in SmartFTP that are very useful. [CHMOD, and more than 1 server at once]

That only works for my Internet Explorer which I don't really like to use since it loads very slow for me.

There's this extension for Mozilla Firefox for web-based FTP access. But I found it insecure so I stopped using it and I'd suggest you do the same. Now I'm using cuteFTP :D
