I found this website a while back and just thought some people may like this forum. Its kinda like VB forums. its free, no cost.

yes phpbb is free but dont know if they are the best. Im always tryin new forums out to compare them with other forums.

IMO the best free forum software is myBB

I love phpbb because it's feature-rich and is VERY customizable. I find most people don't really try to customize it too much, but if you don't mind getting your hands dirty in code, you can do anything.

I'm not a big php coder myself, but I find it's easy enough to change around the design without messing up the code.

I endorse phpbb! :lala:

edit - also wanted to add that there are tons of cool mods out there that can be applied to phpbb. I've personally used RSS, point and rank systems, attachments, among others. There are just tons to do just about anything.

Well, there is really no best forum. paid forum as in VB is great for lots of members and little group of members. Same thang with PHPBB. But they have alot of forums out there and good for different reasons. If you know what im saying.

phpBB sucks too. IPB 1.3 is best for free forums. I only use IPB because I find it easier to work with.

I think phpbb and IPB is both good.
