First, can you clear up what the name is? Is it:
Free Bank (.) com

or is it:
Free Bank Dot (.) com

If it's freeBank, it'll have a good value. If it's freeBankDot, zero value.

It's taken in a dozen extensions or more; been regged since 1999; highly brandable and having to do with 2 great keywords, 'free' and 'bank', two things people love (free stuff and money). Hard to come up with a winner business plan for this name but I'm sure something could be done. However, it's the kind of name that you probably can't do much with unless you have a huge business model and a lot of money to invest in it.

Other than that, I'd build it out as you are already, a site with free stuff ads, and start contacting end users about it. End users that deal with promotional items, coupons, demos, samples, might be very interested in this one for branding... also contact every online banking service (Paypal, Moneybookers, etc), you never know if they have some product or service in the works that could use this as a brand name. Very versatile and you could go many directions with it.

If I had it, I wouldn't take less than 2K for it, if I really needed the cash. But since it's an attractive name to companies that deal with either lots of free stuff or with money/banking, the sky's the limit. Might be hard to sell for 2K, or might get interest into the xx,xxx, really hard to put a concrete value on this one, needs a wide swing.
