Stats I ran two months ago:
49% of registered members have posted at least once.
1% of registered members made a post in the last day.
8% of registered members made a post in the last 30 days.
5% of registered members logged in in the last day.
20% of registered members logged in in the last 30 days.
It's a seasonal site. Warm months see 50-60 signups per day and the winter drags that average down.
Revenue was $4,000-$5,000 last year without looking. All of that was donations, income from raffles and self-sold advertising.
Roughly 6 pages carry a single banner across the site. We did 1,032,000 ad impressions in November and just over 16,300,000 impressions this year to date through our banner server.
Google analytics says 1,354,791 visits and 16,668,563 page views this year. Peak days see about 60,000 views. The lowest weekday, non-holiday numbers run about 35,000 views. Weekend lows are around 25,000 views.
PR is a 3 or 4, can't remember. Nothing is SEO'd and no effort has been put towards search engine ranking, although we rank #1 Google on the two biggest keywords related to the site.
Basically, I'm tired of running it and dealing with advertising. I've let the advertisers dwindle down just a few and never really charged them enough to justify my time. We ran Google AdSense a few years back and got terminated for some reason but never bothered to find out why.
This isn't a done deal, but am weighing my options at this point. The right amount of money will always do wonders so please PM an offer if you would like or ask here if it's something that the answer to would benefit others.
