Well, once again times are getting a little harder for me. I'm considering possibly selling the forum and I want to see if I'll possibly get anything out of it worth selling as I have put a lot of work into this forum though it may not seem like it.

I purchased it last July with around 250 members and just over 10k posts. It will be a year old in two more days.

Thank you kindly. All I ask is that comments and such are kept reasonable.

Thanks again.

Not exactly what I'd expect to be honest, but I asked for them. You've got to be kidding when you say a 700+ member forum is worth the register fee.

high $xx - low $xxx I like this domain...

Based on pr4 with 3,220 pages indexed, and only based on that I believe someone would pay minimum low-mid x,xxx for the forum. Raise that to pr5 or pr6 next update and probably mid-high x,xxx. Nice site.

Thank you both for the opinions - they are greatly appreciated. Any additional opinions are also welcome.

Well as a forum, it's harder to judge by the number of members/posts then by the number of clicks/amount made from advirtisments. Do you have any info on that? From what I see I would say Low XXXX but I'm not too good with sites...

Crazy, on numbers alone you should be able to get $800-1500 easy, provided the membership is healthy and doesn't all intend to leave when the forum is sold.

Those that said reg fee for this really must have been talking about just the domain itself without development or any traffic.

That kind of activity must be making at least $10-$50 in ads/mo (if not try another angle).

I would appraise this at $1,500 - $3,000. More if you have better then guessed $ making power with your ads.

based on the sales of other succesful forums such as this one:

high $xxx to low $x,xxx

Whoever said reg fee to low $xx must have some sort of a problem ;)

At least $1000 , if your puting a reserve i suggest reserver at about $1000 - $1500 . I would think about $2000 - $3000 will be the sell price!

Do you have any income?

I think its a shame people saying REG fee, but i am not sure , i think they were appraising the domain and not the site!

low - mid xxxx IMO

Ad revenue could be very nice from this if applied correctly :)

700 members, 6000 + visits per month.. Based upon a rotating click through to sign up affiliate link of say 5% per month (minimum) of members on a $5 affiliate.. Equates to $175 per month X 12 = $2100 per annum...

5 to 7 X earnings gives it a value for me at $10500 to $14700 (for end user)

Quick sale at annual revenue $2100

That's where the problem is - I've sold ads for $25 a month in the past. I decided to try adsense, but I'm very new to actually making revenue from the website. In the past 4 days I've only gotten about $1.50...

Maximize your potential man!

You have teens so join an affiliate program and push games, ringtones & such.

Ask in the affiliate forums about good affiliates that have Ringtones and games.

Good luck!
