Hi,

I'd be interested in your appraisals for Foom.com
It has a PR of 5, was registered in 1999, and has a few backlinks.
(I also got foom.org chucked in for free - which is also a PR5)

Thanks

UPDATE!! - Just sold for $21,000

You weren't kidding when you told me you have some hidden gems! Nice domain with lots of upside. Some like brandables, others not so much. I'm in the middle - no less than $1500.

Good brandable with double vowels, will fetch low $1,***. I would hold on to it
and let it gain in value. Good find!

Apologies moderator if this isn't the standard form, but i thought people might find it interesting to see what the appreisals were and what it sold for.
Hopefully it means "oo's" are on roll.

It was a private sale - the buyer contacted me.

That comment is so wrong. :yell:

You have been given fair appraisals from a lot of reputable people and obviously you got reseller values.

Nothing stop anything or anyone from you regging "zxczdytfigdtsd.com" and then 1 day later Mr nobody offer you 1 Billion for it.

You have been extremely lucky that some enduser found what he/they wanted.

Do you think here in appraisal forum we appraise domains to suggest you what end user will pay???

I appraise domains for what another domainer would pay. Resell value

Good lord - cool your jets guys.
I just thought people would find it interseting. So if i've upset anyone i apologise.
If i thought you were incompetent i would say so and not disguise it like this.
It's quite unbelievable you have taken offence - i do actually value your reviews, but if this is how you've chosen to interpret what i wrote then there is very little i can do about it.
This was the first sale of mine i'd announced from an appraisal here - there have been others but i'll keep them to myself from now on.
I thought one of the aims of Namepros was to educate and inform - I hope that at least one or two others have learned something from the update. I certainly have.

I would say with the right exposure 5k very few names of that caliber that are short and memorable left, if you can wait for the right enduser maybe a lot higher
good luck

I for one am glad you let us know the sale price, for one it keeps us on our toes ,plus private sales dont get exposure and knowing what as many names sold for as possible is important info for evaluating our own portfolio.

As a beginner I was interested to learn what it sold for and where you sold it - as I'm still at the stage of thinking maybe I'm wasting my time and money. So to see someone got a good sale is encouraging at least it shows it is possible.

I would love to see the negotiation for knowledge purposes.

How you went from him starting with a $200 offer and getting $21,000 is incredibly impressive.

i understand both POVs... staffjam's and italiandragon's

i believe you are telling the true after posting you didnt have the intention to say anybody is incompetent but when you have a sale, post it in the LLLL sales thread and link your post to this thread and we can evaluate all the market and our appraisals (and our appraisals are for resellers)

sometimes our posts can cause a confusion as we can understand different things while we read them :)

congrats for your nice sale!!! :tu:
