I saw that Pasta.com is currently for auction with a reserve of 1Million.

I recently visited a few sites which was compiled by a member her vv

FriedChicken.com - just a parking page.
OnionRings.com - nothing, not even a parking page.
Donuts.com - just a parking page.
HotDogs.com - just a parking page.
Chili.com - just a parking page.
Pizza.com - Currently for sale, in auction format, at Sedo.com

Burgers.com - Carl's Jr. (Hardees) restaurant.
IceCream.com - Nestle Corp / Dreyers
Mexicanfood.com - Taco Villa restaurant.
Tacos.com - Mini-site, owned by a group of Taco Bell franchisees.

18 prime food domains... only 4 are owned or developed by food companies

It's almost as if domainers are pricing generics out of the market for most companies. Yes having FrenchFries.com would be an incredible asset but doubtful most companies feel a 6 or 7 figure price tag is worth it. They might be right since it's their brand that's value not the generic term.

It's not for salr at 1KEuro. Thats just to keep people interested IMHO. Just go to Nachos.com and you'll see..

Certainly but if I were burgerking I would still want burger.com as people will still go there as its premium generic. Like for example burgerking.com compared to burger.. well, you can see the difference.. :gn: :lol:
