domain fol.io

I bought this ccLTD when I found it was available. Had a faintly bookish/financial ring to it. Could even have port.folio as a subdomain maybe. I've had a load of emails asking me if I want to sell but have no idea if it is worth anything. Suggestions? Thanks all.

not a clue, .io is one of the poorer extensions, tell the people emailing you to make an offer

I can't see much value as .io is a very poor extension at the moment, but if it increases in value then it could be a good domain.

Are you sure that the emails are from trustowrhy people, if they ask for you to have a profesional appraisal done on the name then I would advise ignoring them, probabaly a scam. But if the person seems trustworth enough and they make a good offer then you should accept as I cant see much value on htis domain at the moment.

This is one of the better "hacked" domain names (like del.icio.us). It certainly has potential.

If you followed this idea then yes, it would have very good value

As far as value is concerned. I would wouldn't disregard the cctld (io). It's viable in this case and excellent for your name.

Regarding the emails. Most of the emailed offers that I have received have later panned out to some of my BEST sales. All you need to do is a little research (Goog) to see if the source of the offer is legit. If you have concerns over the safety of a transaction then use an escrow / broker service like Sedo.

If I owned fol.io I would not sell for under $1500.

thanks all! i know it is a strange ccltd but it was so short and memorable. The only other one that I would consider like this would be rad.io which had gone. I'll hold onto it for now. I have a fondness for it and the reg fee wasn't astronomical.
