Hello guys
Before four months, I have received the following message from Flippa, can anyone explain it to me?
" Your account has been suspended temporarily due to potential site rule/guideline violations.
A short explanation for the suspension is outlined below:

Account links to 'Brandable Business'
After I sent them a copy of my ID upon their request , my account has been reinstated on probation, but I still didn't understand why my account was suspended before.
Thanks.

You are not the first seller to share some curious reasons given for by Flippa for suspensions recently.
I wonder if Flippa is about to be sold off and so they're doing all sort of sellers background and listing checks to look more upstanding.
Anyone else hear rumors ?

I think doing the background checks and ID verification is good and should be done... perhaps they should rather have the account on "unverified" status until you provide ID checks instead of suspending the account... they could make it so that when ur account is in "unverified" you are not allowed to buy or sell anything on the platform..only view listings...that apprach imo is a lot better than just suspending the account

Yes, but I still didn't understand what they mean by:
Account links to 'Brandable Business'

Hmmm that's interesting, haven't seen that before... maybe they mean that information you provided on your account details links to an existing business or brand.... not sure really..

Maybe @FlippaDomains can shed some light on the issue?

Escrow.com is doing it for buyers and sellers. I do NOT seeing that working for buyers on Flippa at all.
And Sellers already verify themselves when creating listings and using a credit card to verify.

Nope, credit card verification is not the same as ID verification.

Using credit card verification alone just means anyone with a stolen credit card can get away with whatever they want ...thats why ID verification is also important
