Flippa now pitting sellers against their Partners

I know most on here sell or buy domains on Flippa, but aren't as focused on websites.

But for anyone who sells quality ready made websites there, you are now toast.
I noticed a big purple banner when I logged into the site.
It leads to a page for ready made websites.

A special section only for their new and special partner.
They announced it on their linkedin page yesterday. AIpha Investors and Human Pr00f Designs.

And what's terribly annoying beside Flippa basically saying bugger off to other sellers of ready made websites is the concessions they've given to their partner.

Flippa currently only allows Flippa sales under 1k for Paypal.
And warn people not to even use Paypal.
Their new partner only accepts Paypal, not Flippa Escrow like Flippa tells everyone else to use and gets to go over the 1k threshold (average site price 1795)

Flippa also has always advised against ever suggesting what a website might earn potentially.
Here their new partner has special category that shows "Potential Profit" at top of listing.

And most vexing, the sites are nothing special. Very vanilla. But the special tag, listing category and promo will make average Joe think they're buying something unique.

I imagine if I delve deeper this is probably just a smokescreen for Flippa insiders to be selling their own ready made sites.

Need other Flippa competitors already! Is Rob's Epik plans finally ago?

Hello,

I can see why they made that partnership, probably due to a lack of inventory in the "ready-to-make-money-sites" market.
Not sure about the ethic of "Potential earning", since a website's earning will depend on the work behind it
Things like : Is the content unique, is the market over-crowded, was there some SEO work done, where are visitors coming from (Ads? If so, How much paid in ads, for how much time), is the business sustainable..

But yes, as mentionned on NP, the demand for such sites is increasing
And we are seriously working on the project, now with the coming public release of CloudChase.com (our cloud product), buying a website will be very smooth compared to what is being done at the moment.
As for the ethic on our marketplace, letting people give estimated Poential profit is not a thing we consider
Hopefully, this will get fixed by Flippa !

To conclude, this project has a lot of potential, and we will likely say more in 2020 :)
