Choose two digit number, add together both digits & then subtract the total from your original number.

When you have final number look it up on the chart and find the relevant symbol. Concentrate on the symbol & when you have it clearly in your mind click on the crystal ball and it will show you the symbol you were thinking of....

This is how it works.

For the number exercise requested, the resulting number will always be a multple of 9, like 9 or 18 or 27 etc.

Now if you look at the symbols for all those multiple of 9 numbers, they will always be the same in every turn. And with every turn, the symbols change but again all multiples of 9 numbers will have the same symbol.

Now, the magic ball can never go wrong, right.

Ah, yes.. I thought I recalled a similar trick that worked somewhat the same way with cards.
