Fix a domain

Hello I bought a domain and got it pushed to me at godaddy.It has been forwarding to another website for few years and I'm not sure how to remove it,

I have changed the zone files into default as well as 301 forwarded to my main domain but it's still being forwarded to the same website.

The name servers are default.

How can I fix this?

Nameservers set to default may be the problem. Your main domain is probably not set as a default NS. Default may be ns1./ns2. and your domain may be ns4./ns5 or some other designation.

You could also access the Name records and manually change the new domain to redirect to your existing domain in conjunction with cpanel changes.
