I've owned this 4-letter domain for many years and am thinking about selling it. I know that LLLL.com domains can be difficult to appraise but I'd like to hear your expert opinions.

Thanks!

No, they are not difficult to appraise, especially when they are pronounceable. This domain has an estibot value of $1200 and can be sold for a reasonable figure if market properly. Here is an example, in the fitness niche, is a good place to start.

EstiBot is not accurate at all. There's a good thread here on NamePros explaining why.

I do agree though that this domain is perfect for a fitness niche project.

Nice domain. Congrats on keeping it. Interesting history. I see that the domain was actually expired and deleted in 1/2016 but then was recovered in 2/2016 I suppose. It's unusual that I see the whois keeping the original age, but hosterstats shows the deletion and re-registration in 2016.

Anyway, here are some similar sales:

fitw.com 430 USD 2017-09-14 NameJet
fitd.com 4,500 USD 2016-12-09 Sedo
fitu.com 4,658 USD 2015-12-16 GoDaddy
fity.com 1,376 USD 2011-12-17 Sedo
fitr.com 339 USD 2010-11-23 Bido
fitr.com 540 USD 2009-05-22 NameJet
fitr.com 570 USD 2009-05-12 NameJet
fitr.com 5,100 USD 2009-05-02 NameJet
fitd.com 400 USD 2008-02-11 Afternic
fits.info 106 USD 2007-03-03 Sedo

My opinion would be:
End User: 2k+
Reseller: $500 - 2k

The most valuable 4 letter .com domain names typically have CVCV pattern. Consonant, Vowel, Consonant, Vowel.

Mid $xxxx is feasible. Very determined end user could probably see low 5 figures.

It’s a perfect app domain, I am sure you get a ton of emails from people trying to buy it, make sure you delete any from Edward

The four letters I have selling $10k to $25k are more like where 3/4 are the same letter or where the entire four letters create a pronounceable word (in which case some are worth well over $25k). Also some of the CVCV where the two consonants are the same, as are the two vowels.

There are some four letters where the fit is at the end of the word, -fit.com and with the right letter in front of the fit the value may also be quite high. I have one of those and get offers on it constantly (but not high enough to motivate me).

My opinion would be:
End User: 2k+
Reseller: $500 - 2k

Exactly.
