first site, opinions please

Hi

this is my first site http://www.free-online-games-player.co.uk, I've been working on it for four weeks, I know it's basis looking at the momment. I'm currently working on using java for the home page http://www.free-online-games-player.co.uk/index2.html, but am having some problems with the alignment.
I plan to put some adverts on it at some point, but think it is too soon to do it at the momment.
would love to know what you all think.

ehh didnt look at the site yet.. but the domain !!!!!!!! its wayyyyyyyy to long and to many dashes..

you should look for something shorters..

oh dear... i also have onlinegamesplayer.co.uk do you think that is better? I have definitely read a few places that google can read words in domains if there are dashes... I'm not sure what to do... maybe build two sites? play-free-online-games.com does quite well...

Too plain, add in some images that are related. Too much red, danger zone. The font size for the buttons are too big. The buttons are too close to each other which made it difficult to be read.

erm... to me it just looks like a long page of text. Don't know quite the style you are going for there, but it looks too plain to be a games site.

Get yourself a logo for starters. There is no point just having text. That text is too big anyway, it looks like something a guy might have on his "website" where he puts all his family pics from last years holiday to show his mates at work (geocities I think people call it).

You need pictures in a less "in your face" manner. Having a block of them there is just too "strange" if you like. Maybe have the introduction before the pictures, and have some text explaining the pictures with each thumbnail.

I think that overall you need to get some kind of layout for the site going on there. You need to take away that long page of text and get a side-bar, even if it only has adsense in it. Get some "boxes" of information as well, just a simple layout. Like neu-designs says, get a border round some of the content. Once you have a good layout you can build on it.

I'm trying to check out what neu designs is to no avail!
I would like to put some borders on will try and do that today, also the flash is going to be navigation and will be labelled. I will get a logo done as soon as I have some money.
