When typed on Google, it shows 5,710,000 results and greatgate.net is #5 in the list.

How much could it cost ?

Elegy well done for the good rank! However i feel the plural greatgates would be a lot better. You may get occasional traffic through this but very unlikely to amount to anything as it is not a highly searched term.

Hopefully someone will invent a new gate called great gate!

There is actually 140,000 results for "great gate". Domain is not too valuable if undeveloped. No exact searches, no developed sites under top level TLDs. GreatGate.co.uk is forwarded to developed site. I think reseller value close to reg fee unless you have traffic and revenue. May be good start to build search engine or directory.
