First domain!

[Boss101]

Hey guys!
I'm wanting to get into the domain game!
I've been reading a few pages tonight about it. Could somebody please give me a run down on the whole process? I'm okay with computers but am new to all this. If I buy a domain on NameJet where can I go from there? Do I place ads on it? Or could I put it straight onto eBay/another website.
Thankyou in advance.

Once a domain is in your control, you can post it for sale anywhere whether it be a forum such as this, an aftermarket or through a broker. However, be aware of exclusivity clauses that some places have.

read a few hundred more pages,
then write down your questions,
then put your questions in the "search bar",
then review all the threads pertaining to those questions
then if you have further questions, start a thread.

Firstly, welcome.

You will need to do a lot of research in forums and learning from the popular domaining websites.

Take 3 to 6 months just to learn, then start buying and selling.

Even after that time you will swear you are buying the best names ever... but if you have no sales, it rests all on your shoulders.

Domaining is not easy, nor is it cheap; and it takes a bit of humility because you are going to make mistakes, especially if you are 'okay' with computers. Plus any decent name acquisition is going to take some experienced planning, or significant investment.

Good luck.

I have been reading for years.
Bought a few hundred.
Sold a few.
Met some domaining legends.
Still have a lot to learn.
