Hi guys,

I got my first big sale. The domain is damnfuckinghot com

It was taken for 9800 usd from namecheap directly.

Though i asked him for 15000 & thought i would settle for 12k.But rediculously i forgot to change the price in Namecheap marketplace where i registered it & left it from the bigining.

So the buyer must have found it & taken it without telling me so i dont close the Namecheap sale & ask higher price.LOLS

Also i tried to sell it in Nampross sometimes in a way cheaper rate when i needed some cash,I was mad for getting a sale.

But I never expected such a big one in first year of domaining.

I handregistered it this year 2019.

A friend of mine once visited Thailand & explained the girls as damn fucking hot.I knew the term was cathcy so i registered it.

I started listing it in Godaddy, sedo & some other platform. But the best thing i did,i forwarded it to my facebook id. So somehow someone who put it in the browser, directly found me & contacted my fb inbox.

I did not notice the massage untill the 9th day, than while checking old massages in FB inbox, i found a blank profile asking me about the domain damnfuckinghot com. I was not as excited becasue i got offers from 100 to 600 usd previously.

But I replied him with my email id. I couldn't negotiate that much because only after two back to back mail, I found my domain was gone.

I asked him about NDA, so he was not interested to disclose his identity or contact. But said will have no problem if I share the story of my domain sold.

Here is the email i got from namecheap in my gmail

& this is my namecheap balance page after sale...

I did a lot of outbound with my mena & insurance domain but never forwarded them to my facebook. So now i am going to do that with all my domains.

Previously i sold customizedsmartphone com in 180 usd & cbdyahoo com in 125usd.

cbdyahoo com is developed & being used in ny based it company. You can check. This is my email of sale of cbdyahoo com that was not forwarded to facebook but outbound a lot to cannabis company.

wish you good luck for your domain sale. Wish me luck.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
So I see the account is auto closed, I guess related to this all.

@Joe Nichols said something very well I just wanted to underscore:
Shameful that he felt the need to manufacture this story.

Potential gain: strangers on the internet give you props.

Potential loss: your entire reputation.

The risk/reward doesn't pan out, boys and girls. Don't lie about sales.

There are good reasons to not disclose sales, and I respect those who choose not to.
I am appreciative that so many do disclose sales data which provides data to analyze what is happening. But it never is right to post fake sales data. As Joe says, a tiny questionable upside and a huge long-term downside.

Anyway, I hated the domain name and would have been upset with a name of that 'quality' had commanded those dollars, even though I do realize it only takes one eager buyer who likes a name.

Amazing! Thanks for sharing. Believe it or not, this helped me, more than you know.

APPRECIATE, u LOOKING OUT for the industry. Couldn't care less buyer(s) identity only $$ paid

It feels like more and more prices are disclosed. Hiding purchase price is selfish IMO.

I dont care if they hide their identity, but not price paid. (!!) Once again, thank you for sharing.

Well, I was actually giving some pointers to check as I very much doubt the sale of CBDyahoo as well as the adult domain.

The CBD one is full with copyrighted content most probably trying to add value to the name by trying to make it look like it's developed. It's not.

You could say you can't post proof for privacy or any other reasons. Some people would believe some wouldn't. Some skeptic people would never believe even if they saw proofs. You don't have to care what people believe, don't have to email them. You have turned your thread into an email collection program. This is what I don't like.

As to your original post, I think it's possible. I believe you really sold it for 10k. The domain maybe worth more than 10k depending on end user. It is memorable, bears a powerful call to action message and has a good potential to become very popular and profitable if developed.

You damn f*king right.” ;)

Congrats on the sale!

Forgetting a stray low price on a marketplace often gets found during negotiation.
Remember to re-check all your market places after an offer.

Zero chance. The online porn industry are some of the savviest buyer there are. Anyone who knows anything about the adult website industry knows that they would never spend real money on domains with 0 traffic. Too many brandable developed adult names out there for pennies on the dollar. Also, having "fu**king" in the url would exclude it from too many search results, that is why you don't see those types of domain term for any well know, high traffic porn site. The true single word type-in, that is a different story. Gold. A three-worder with zero registrations of any compatible tlds, for close to 3 figures, much less 5? please.

Would be a great name as a redirect to a chilli company though :)

The sad part of this is all the gullible ‘domainers’ :xf.rolleyes: praising and congratulating on this obvious ‘as-if’ sale. good grief.

NP has changed its so negative now.
now pros knocking others for their congrats :(
Sure I gave a congrats, but do I believe the sale? I only believe in my sales tbh.
The sad part to me was the exchange of so many likes to those calling this fake.
(even if those were my thoughts)
and yet..
I tried to share some positive knowledge and focus on something we know to be real from this thread but not a single like.
Even (some) pros sometimes forget a BIN somewhere from time to time.

yet you gave a 'like' to a sale that by your own admission, you don't really believe. ....ok.
I did not click like no
(unless by mistake)

I really "like" the way I am quoted here then ask a question that is answered by very next line that was omitted.
Can't bother to read the other posts or even the next line.

Calm down, you're getting too excited trying to explain yourself.

Not explaining myself there. Just explaining the trick.

Thanks for the well wishes, may you find calm as well.

Hot tips:
Try reading the entire post (or thread even)
Don't just respond with misleading quotes.
Calm down and slow down.

I guess I will be forced to explain.

Let's start with the "trick"

The trick I was referring to was your trick where you quote me, then ask a question that is answered by the following line which you omit. The same line that might be better understood with the context provided by reading previous posts.

What is the level of vetting we are expected to do before clicking a like button or before saying congrats? Asking for a friend...
Maybe you can relay to your friend :xf.wink: that for me at least when I am in the Report Completed Sales thread I am pretty free and easy with the Like or Thank button, and as long as some minimum content is posted I just press the Like/Thank. And in the vast majority of cases, I do believe the sales there are genuine. Of course I am a trusting person....

I think as in Twitter people say a Retweet or Like does not mean endorsement, we should operate that way on NamePros too.
