discuss First $1 million offer

offer via EFTY lander
domain is two-word .COM
buyer is outside the US

While it is possible the buyer is making an offer in a foreign currency which translated into USD is $XXX, I seriously doubt this offer is legit.

Regardless, we will play along and see how serious they are. I did respond to the buyer indicating offers must be in USD.

Is the offer from India ?

I received an offer recently for 500k in USD on a one word .energy
My minimum bid is 300k+
I don't think it's legit. sent for confirmation a few days ago... still waiting.
you never know ! the person bidding is in the energy field

Another request was for a 5N.com from a legit company in China
sent 3600+ didn't hear back for 3 months
They replied recently to confirm price/ready to buy
Still waiting.....
lol I remember meeting an Iraqi once years ago. Said he needed cash and would sell me millions of dinars after the war. supposedly because once they were back up the currency will rise in value greatly.

until of course they scrapped the entire currency and rolled out with new currency rendering the old currency worthless. lol

toilet paper.

lucky I didn't buy any.

But seriously please do keep us updated. would be nice to hear someone on NP made a million bucks.

HA HA HA, I considered buying the dinar at that time too.
Didn't buy either. Two luckies in one day
Cheers

If you reveal the name I'm sure we could put the speculation to rest fairly quickly....

Not sure if it is the same case with Efty, normally it happens that sometimes you may have a minimum, unless they meet the minimum, they cannot send out the inquiry. So they get frustrated and put lot of 0's to get through the 'submit' button.

Nobody really offers a million to start with, no matter what currency.

Best.

1 million Colombian pesos isn't that much money. My wife and I in recent months have sent in total more than 1.5 million pesos (~$500) to her family.

I'm about 99% sure this is exactly what happened.

I think that is what happened in my case however, they can see the minimum amount and chose to ignore it. I don't know maybe
thinking I mistakenly added a zero or two ?
Time will tell. I do know the person is related to the energy field.
Also, It may take some time to get corporate approval to spend that kind of money. A few weeks to months if it needs board approval.
The only way a quick response comes is if the amount range is already approved or it's an individual that doesn't need any approval.
On a side note, I am hearing more domainers saying they are getting pranked on their sales venues. May be a new "trend"

I had a $25000 BIN price accepted but never followed through on a .com. Is a domain that gets regular repeat inquiries but whoever they are don't want to make a serious offer.

another two-word .COM domain offer well in excess of $3 billion (same as their telephone #)

You have to ask?
By all means start it, and get em while they're still drunk.

One problem I have with EFTY is if you have an Escrow BIN, when the buyer selects the BIN, the transaction will automatically get setup at Escrow. So I had some idiot do this multiple times for the same domain name, and now I have several transactions for the same domain name setup at Escrow. I have to get Escrow to delete the bogus transactions -- but I'm just waiting a few more days until I go ahead and delete them.

I asked Efty Support to wait for the buyer to "Confirm" the email before setting up the transaction at Escrow -- but they said they could not do that the way they integrate Escrow to their system. Grrrrrrrrrr.....

to OP -- good luck with the $1 million offer -- I hope the best for you :)
