I like FireFox, but I've never been having the problems redhippo has. He always has a problem with FireFox every now and then. Maybe I'm lucky or maybe his computer is just screwed up. ;)

Hmm...I think I`ve helped many , many more people with problems on IE than firefox...just the amount of spyware and adware I`ve had to remove on other people`s computers thanks to IE is amazing. After cleaning out computers I immediately install firefox or opera and unless the person keeps using IE I haven`t seen a reinfection yet.

ya, thats weird..everyone tells me about this stuff.. but the worst i get is cookies that i delete with adaware.. and i visit from pretty forsaken sites.. sio I know its there.

I guess keeping your PC up to date helps

Thats the problem...unless you are someone who really knows what you are doing on the internet (most people don`t) you will get infected sooner or later using IE even by keeping up with updates.
IE has a retarded security model.Random websites shouldn`t be allowed to automatically install software on my computer. The amount of exploits found on IE that would let a website install software without your knowledge is big.And even more worrying is the time it takes MS to patch these vulnerabilities.
I`m no FF fanboy (I`m more of an Opera fan, even though I`m using FF right now more and more) but I have been fixing computers long enough to know that IE really exposes your PC to some really bad stuff.

Hey Redhippo how did you fix it?

I would never go back to IE after using firefox. I went on a few 'interesting' sites this morning using both FF and IE. Constant pop-ups, all sorts of rubbish happening in IE.

FF had no problems, nothing tried to load, nothing popped up or didnt want to close.

Why go backwards.
