Hi,

Please give me your opinion on FF.vg - i think the Final Fantasy fits especially well with the .vg extension? What's your opinion on the value though?

Same goes for the other .vg
HH.vg
BB.vg
TT.vg
EX.vg
JJ.vg

Thanks in advance and for qualified comments/evals, i'll certainly rep you.

I own VV.VG and get 120 + uniques type ins a day parked... with a ctr of 2% or so.. kind of curious if your getting similar results with your same letter LL.vg's?

As for value I had an offer of 250$ last week... turned it down.. But FF.VG is a great name if the gamers start taking the .vg ext as Video Game than I would appraise ff.vg somewhere in the mid xxx to a reseller :tu:

Interestingly enough, i don't have any type ins on any of my LL.vg domains. Not one, zero, zilch, nada...driving me up the wall.
I just got done putting custom images on FF.vg, if that doesn't work, i'll move it over to Bodis and add custom content...

Thanks for your eval, rep+.

Keep the opinions coming guys!

I think that FF.vg has the potential to be developed into some sort of Final Fantasy site, as you've mentioned. Tekken is using the .vg extention www.tekken.vg which is good news for the extention.

As to the offer that Deaol got, I would say you could get at least that much ($250) & more because of the potential & it is premium letters.

I would develop this site surely, no doubt. Final Fantasy, Video Game.
Potential Mid to High $XXX

However, a developed site, and some patience can turn this into Mid to high $XXXX offers :)

HTML, i seem to be way too fond of you. :) Next time again.
Porte, rep+. Thanks for the eval.

I'll be developing FF.vg, the question is ...into what? Forum? Walkthroughs? Blog? Video site? All of the above? Since i'm not a developer, that may prove to be challenging!

I'm certainly listening to more evals and suggestions regarding development. Keep them coming guys!

Thanks,

IB

For FF.vg to succeed, you should combine all things together. All-in-one source for Final Fantasy, this way you beat similar final fantasy forums.

Not being a developer is not a big problem, you can hire web developers from Namepros or other area to do this for you. The return is worth doing it.

If you do not want to risk much investment cost, just purchase a vBulleetin and try running a forum. That is an easy task and would require no development background often. See how it turns out, traffic, and google adsense, etc.

If things are worth the money you pay (I believe they are) you can start enlarging the website or sell it as it is.

I still believe you can easily get strong offers for this name Mid-High$XXX undeveloped ..and can get $XXXX+ developed.

Good luck :)

Hiya guys,

I was following this thread and I think the opinions/suggestions here would work for me too. I own graphics.vg ( definitely not a LL ). I regged it coz it thought it is a great keyword with .vg ext, but grew skeptic abt it.( newbie.. of course )

so.. Guys, do I own something useful ? does it have any potential ?

appreciate your suggestions.

Generally speaking, you have the better domain. Granted, with FF, the LL characteristic gives any extension sort of a novelty character, but in terms of descriptiveness, i'm relying on the connection with something that's already in existence, such as Final Fantasy. That is of course, if i don't want to invest the time/energy/resources to brand FF into something unique. You on the other hand, have a dictionary keyword that is well searched for.
Overture results on Graphics:
340513 myspace graphic
168617 graphic design
140371 graphic
117013 glitter graphic
Bottom line, you have very interesting options with your domain. Whether that's photoshop tutorials, using advanced graphics programs such as Poser, Bryce3D, or graphic engine review such as the Unreal Engine.
Not to mention that you can apply just about any graphical venture to it. Overall, your domain is great, unfortunately, the extension is not. .VG is in its infancy and quite frankly, i pulled the trigger on it way too early, i'm not even sure that it's ever going to take off.

I would think repeating LL.vg can go between low $xxx - mid $xxx. Repeating 2 letters is easier to remember regardless of extension. .VG could marketed as Video Games as well as Van Gogh art.

I am still holding a hand full of repeating LL.VC and they are selling at least mid $xxx and some in low $x,xxx.

I'm not quite sure if comparing the two ccTLD helps but it gives you a very basic pricing guideline for these exotic ext. undeveloped.

Of course as usual development always increases its value.

Ofcourse it has potential, great one too. Graphics is a premium word.. I think the domain can be worth $X,XXX lows undeveloped, but this is just my personal opinion and judgement given its premium one word domain and completely compatible with vg, needless to say the amount of results and type-ins for Graphics word.

Okay lets not get off the topic here.

I think EX.VG has a good potential for Exhibit of Van Gogh art gallery

Interesting suggestion for EX.vg. I'm not sure how the extension, that seems to have branding efforts towards VideoGames would tie back to one of the greatest artists that has ever used a brush, though.
I was thinking Exhibit for video games, i.e Indy Games that are not the typical mainstream stuff that the powerhouses of the likes of EA, Blizzard, etc. bring out. Or run it with sub domains such as s.ex.vg,..

Overall, i like the exhibit idea, have to toss that thought around a bit more.
Thanks for .VC comments, i believe that these 2 TLDs are closely enough related that it would make sense to look at their prices laterally.

Oh yeah, "X" - i'm too fond of you to rep you. Maybe a virtual handshake will do for now? :)

I think VG is being marketed as VideoGames but IMO it could me marketed as you see fit.

For instance, .CC are being marketed as Credit Card but I have a couple of my LLL.cc are school acronym that I'm holding and thinking about development in the future. The 3 letter .CC as I see fit as College Community. The thought originally would be an alumni College Community but not necessarily Community College.

I like your idea of Exhibit of Video Games.

IntelBank.com Virtual handshake is well accepted.
