feedback on war theme site please

Ok, this is a rough layout and would like any feedback especially on the following points:

1. at the moment the background is a simple dark grey - would you include an image of some sort - our feeling is an image of an old table (like a generals table with maps, old pen etc)

2. the homepage loads without an animation but all the other pages have an animation of two soldiers walking along (each page would have its own different animation of course) what do you think of this idea? should i drop it? content will fade in when the animation stops - i have not done that yet though.

ok thats it really - it's based on an old ration book type of look - the company is called winston smith and is my first portfolio attempt

there are no preloaders as yet so just be a little patient - not too big file sizes

If the feedback is negative i'll think of a new approach.

I must say, that is one of the best flash sites I have ever seen. I love the fast load time. I love the soldiers marching, very, very cool. I like the smooth transition between selections. That is a very nice site, good color scheme.

Wow! That is intense!

Only suggestion I can make(I tend to notice everything...) is the quality of the folder. Maybe just higher that up a notch or two if ya can, and it would be PERFECT in my eyes. :D

oh my god thats the fastest loading flash animation I have very seen..
took about 3 seconds to load on slooooow dial-up..dude that awsome

It needs a preloader for each page.

Also, every page seems to load the animation again, even though it should only have to load once.
