Tried on Sedo for a while now, and usually get a few views of offer, yet never actually an offer.

I tried Moniker, but nothing usually ever happens there. The only places I wanted to try next were Afternic where you pay for membership or GoDaddys TDNAM where you pay each time you list a domain.

Any ideas? I'd like a free place where I post my domains, but I really want to know which place seems to be the best one. I'm sure I'm missing one.

Thanks for reading guys, and post if you have any thoughts on this one.

:hi:

TDNAM charges a yearly $4.95 for membership.

There is no fee to list your domains at TDNAM .

You pay only for "extras".

There's just a 5% fee if you sell a domain under $500 and 7% if over $500.

It takes 30 - 31 days to get paid.

How come it takes that long to get paid? They take my money right away when I pay them. I think they should do the same. :imho:

The 30 day rule is for sales under $500.

Over $500 GD uses an outside Escrow agency to complete the transaction.

I know it is very frustrating that the Buyer gets the domain right away but you have to wait 30 days.

I had a detailed discussion with a top GD Vice-President who explained why there is the delay in payment.

It's because GoDaddy does not want to go thru the expense and ordeal of
becoming a licensed Escrow agency.

By holding your money for a set amount of time and then releasing it they feel this allows them to skirt the licensing laws.

If they released the funds because the Buyer paid then it would be in response to the Buyer's action (payment) and GD would have to become licensed.

The upside is when GD does make payment to your PayPal account no fees are deducted by PayPal since GoDaddy does batch processing. The PayPal fees are lowered using this method and GD absorbs the fee.

BTW - DNOA.org members get a free TDNAM subscription. Considering I believe its the same cost to join the DNOA - might as well take advantage of the offer.

:hi:

Are you sure that's a benefit?

It's not listed in the benefits section.

When DNOA reopened the join fee was raised to $20 annual.

Maybe original members were grandfathered in at the old rate.

Patrick

P.S. I just read the Benefits section again and apparently there is a
Prtivate Forum for members that has other benefits not listed before you join.

:hi: Justin,

That's cool. It's certainly a very nice benefit.

But as I said it's NOT a publicly listed benefit so must be one of the private ones available to members.

Im not sure why its not listed, perhaps because Godaddy could cut it off at any time, since its an indefinite code. However, I will ask that it be listed as a Bennefit.

Drop the bottom out of it and sling it! (at least on the forums anyways)

Going for top dollar on the aftermarket, plan on 2 year regs.

I wish I had a great Confusious quote about patience, but I dont. Bottom line is if your in a hurry to sell, your missing out on money. Patience is a huge factor in this game. If your patient enough, you'll see much better returns.
