The registrar is Porkbun.
The domain is listed on SEDO and approved for Fast Transfer.
I received a Fast Transfer request for Afternic.

How or Why is this the only domain listed on SEDO that also has a Fast Transfer for Afternic?

I don't have any domains registered or listed for sale at Afternic or GoDaddy.

This is because of the total lack of domain ownership verification when people list domains at Afternic.

If you don't have any domains listed at Afternic, DO NOT click on the Fast Transfer email you got from them, or you will lose your domain to someone else without seeing any penny.

You got that email because someone else has listed your domain for sale at Afternic, because they don't require any kind of domain ownership verification.

The safest thing to do is create an Afternic account and add all your domains so no one can list them in their own accounts. You don't have to actually sell your domains with Afternic - you can turn that off.

Thanks.

I thought it was weird Afternic sent a Fast Transfer request especially since I don't have any domains listed there.

This happened to me on DAN except I had an active DAN account.

The one similarity I'm noticing is these are low priced domains.

That was tense debate, people with huge portfolios didn't want ownership verification. I disagreed.

IMO Afternic incentives these domain thieves by not requiring verification. If the domain sold, Afternic would get their percentage cut no matter who the owner is.

The main reason I don't list on Afternic is because SEDO exponentially has more views.

When I did list on Afternic I averaged less than 5 views per month.
On SEDO I average 125 views per month per domain.

You can add your domains to Afternic, but not list them. That will prevent people from adding your domains to their accounts.

The views metric on Sedo is not accurate, so don't base decisions on that. Additionally, Afternic by far gets the most people potentially seeing your domain due to their partner network (which is much bigger than Sedo's)
