Falling down on design

professional websites(dot)us I don't want to link to them because I don't want them reading this thread. Remove the spaces and apply the "."

Should this be your website design company? Note the copywrite data on the bottom. Not interested in abusing these fine folks and they are probably very nice and cheap for small businesses. Also, I should not be the one to point fingers because I have design issues myself and laziness throughout. But a professional website company? Leaves a lot to be desired.

It's a shame that anyone and everyone can easily go out and make a website and then call themselves professionals and sell their services.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this service dead? Last update on the domain/website was in 2002.

You may say that, but their portfolio contains work which says 'coming 2009'.

Now I am going to asume that it was built in 2008.

But saying that, the design with 2009 on it is the only one worth looking at (and you cant even do that, site is down)

They may have a reputation, you dont need a flashy site if you already have clients and are living off it. Not everyone needs a flashy site to be a designer. But true, their site looks like its been left the same since 2002. I don't understand why your pointing this out to everyone though.

I don't understand why your pointing this out to everyone though.

I ran accross them as I was doing some digging into a company/end-user I am trying to sell a domain to.(They own and use a two word with hyphen and I have the two word, no hyphen) The company uses these folks as their designers. Doesn't bode well for a high-ticket sale :)

Their work is an older, "dated" style - I'd call that kind of a late 90's / turn of the millenium look. Judging from the number of items in their portfolio they obviously have been able to get a decent amount of work though - good for them. Their design's aren't my cup of tea (actually in that genre I've seen MUCH worse!), but as far as I'm concerned, if their clients are happy and they conduct their business in a professional manner they can call themselves anything they like...

I sent the form for a free quote, and they want $600.00 for a template that "has a navigation bar and content below"
